Description
The HBI Receiver Pin for the CZ Scorpion Evo 3 removes the pesky play or motion between the upper and lower receivers. The ability to take down the weapon with a single pin is amazing, but due to production tolerance stacking some Scorpion Evo’s do exhibit more wobble or play between the receivers than others. Our pin is designed to tighten up that connection point and give the upper-lower receivers the rock solid fitment they are capable of. The head on our pin features an undercut groove not found on the factory pin; this groove accepts many improvised pry tools (driver, blade, etc…) to aid in removal for field strip and weapon take down. The HBI Spec Pin is machined from 4140 Chromoly and finished with black nitride.
Our HBI Spec Receiver Pin is compatible with all CZ Scorpion EVO 3 Models including: A1, S1, S2 Micro, Carbine, and Bullpup. Additionally, our Spec Pin is also compatible with ALL known handguard configurations, including those offered by aftermarket suppliers. NOTE: Installation of our Spec Pin requires disassembly and drilling of your bolt stop (item #44 on factory parts diagram). Easy to install. Just get the factory pin free from the bolt catch, remove the bolt catch, use the drill bit to widen the hole on the bolt catch only. Slide the new pin through to check fitment, then set the bolt catch back into place. Set the lower receiver back into place and push the pin through. You’ll be slop free after that.

Well worth every penny. Removed almost all the slop to barely noticable. And its of superior design and manufacturing . CZ should be ashamed for allowing a new firearm to have soooo much play! And anyone can do it themselves. I own many HB parts and am always grateful

Removed a significant amount of slop. Still have a little wiggle of play but it is about as much play as you’d have between a cheap Ar15 upper and lower now.
Install took no more than 5 minutes, because I spent half of it looking for my drill batteries.
Definitely worth the $20. Makes the scorpion feel a little more quality.

Works great and serves a purpose but some work was required to make it fit oerfectly.aside from drilling the excess metal from your bolt stop you may need to take some fine sandpaper to the center of the pin and the edges to remove the extra paint due to it being really hard to remove the take down pin to do your routine cleaning. Really satisfied with the product works as described but due to having to remove excess paint and polish it up gonna give it four stats outta five.

Absolutely all my slop , wobble and play is gone.
To be honest i wasnt expecting it to be *this* solid after only a $21 part and I figured I’d also need a receiver shim but nope, took my time drilled slowly re-blued the hole on the bolt catch and I have ZERO slop between my recievers… it was pretty bad before installing this in my evo s1 with well over 15k rounds through it and its level of wobble was driving my ocd crazy. 2 things you never want to wobble, a folding blade and any firearm (aside from an ak).

Following the HBI video, it was a piece of cake to remove, drill & reinstall. It’s a much better fit with almost all of the slop/wiggle out of it. Worth the money.

Before (stock pin): maximum gap upon pulling down on the lower: 0.044″
After oversizing the hole c/t the bolt stop using the included drill bit and installing the new pin: 0.022″
Reduced the play by exactly half!
