Description

An extremely versatile thread protector for your pistol, rifle, or SBR. Available in both 9mm (1/2-28) and .45ACP (.578×28) our Micro Comp + Thread Protector is designed to be short, lightweight, and 100% functional as both a compensator and thread protector. The backbore and radial porting create “neutral bias” compensation when fired, reducing muzzle rise by as much as 20-30% (as measured with MantisX10). The deep precision cut threads and a high temp silicone o-ring hold the device securely in place through endless hot/cold cycles. The taper machined groves on the outside diameter provide tons of grip for toolless removal and installation.

Our 9mm Micro Comps measure 0.75″ outside diameter, 0.80″ long, and 1/2-28 thread is 0.63″ deep. Our .45ACP Micro Comps measure 0.818″ outside diameter, 0.85″ long, and the 0.578″x28 thread is 0.66″ deep. Both are machined from 4140 steel, heat treated, and finished in black nitride. The 9mm Micro Comp is also available in gold (TiN) finish. Weight is just 0.62 oz (for reference an A2 spec flash hider weighs 2.20 oz and a 1/2-28 3lug adapter weighs 0.75 oz). Note that some 10mm barrels also use a .578×28 thread, and our .45ACP Micro Comps are compatible with 10mm barrels in this case.
